  • Detention Officer-Detention Facility
    Full-time position which performs routine supervisory work in the safekeeping of prisoners in custody at the Yellowstone County Sheriff's Office Detention Facility. Protects the well being of prisoners, overseeing them at meals, at activities and in their quarters; does related work as required. The Detention Officer is a uniformed civilian staff position which performs responsible law enforcement work involving a variety of duties to control and supervise the activities of persons incarcerated in the County’s Detention Facility. Because work is performed in close proximity with persons charged with misdemeanor and felony offenses, the work involves an element of personal danger.   • Control Operator-Detention Facility
    Full-time position, which operates the electrical, video and audio communications and security system for the County’s Detention Facility; does related work as required. The Control Operator is a uniformed, civilian staff position which has little or no contact with the inmate population. Control Operators are assigned to the Detention Facilities control room which is the hub of the facility. They control all movement in the facility by electronic doors and camera systems. Control Operators also keep documentation such as log books daily of all inmate movement to ensure the strictness of inmate head counts.   • Temporary, Part-time Box Office Workers - MetraPark
    Temporary, part-time worker that provides quick, friendly, and accurate guest service. Requires a flexible work schedule, as hours will be event driven; Work hours may include some evening/night, weekend or holiday shifts; Function as a member of a team to achieve the goals and standards of the Box Office. Box Office employees must have cash/credit card handling experience. Must be bondable.

  • Youth Services Center Fill-In
    The fill in worker covers shifts for regular employees who are absent due to illness or vacation, or when additional staff members are required due to increased census. This is an entry level position that can offer the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a youth care facility. Students and applicants searching for a second job are encouraged to apply.

    Hours vary due to the needs of the facility for coverage. Available shifts are days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Scheduling flexibility and availability may increase the number of scheduled shifts.

    Must pass a criminal background check and have a current driver's license. Bachelor's degree in human services or some college preferred. Some human services experience is required.
