The Superintendent of Schools Department supports, assists, and oversees schools in the county by performing various duties prescribed by Montana law. The office registers the licenses of school district professional staff and home school students.
The Superintendent of Schools Office is Currently Located in the County Courthouse (217 N. 27th St).
The office will be moving at the end of January to Room 121 of the John V. Ostlund County Administration Building located at 2825 3rd Avenue North. The new offices will open in early February. Further details will be provided as soon as they are available.
We currently offer general information on a total of 68 schools in Yellowstone County, including: 37 elementary schools, 13 middle schools, 10 high schools and 8 private schools. We also offer information on home-schooling within the county.
