The Mission of the Yellowstone County Weed Department is to assist the public, private, and other government agencies to manage and control existing noxious weed infestations as well as to prevent new invasive species from infesting Yellowstone County.

Growth Habit Perennial, erect, woody shrub grows up to 10 feet tall.
Leaves Three parted leaves with smooth leaf margins.
Stem Dark green with angled surfaces.
Flower Numerous, large, showy yellow pea-like flowers.

Seeds Pea-like seeds in a brown to black flattened pod with white hairs on the margin.

Habitat Widespread pest of the Pacific Coast, common in pastures, forests and wasteland.
