REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

            Tuesday May 11, 2021

 

            ALL PRESENT:  Commissioner Jones, Chair, Commissioner Ostlund; Board Clerk Teri Reitz; Clerk and Recorder Jeff Martin.

          PLEDGE.

          MINUTES – May 4, 2021.  Commissioner Ostlund made a MOTION to approve the Minutes, Commissioner Jones seconded.  Passed Unanimous. 

          PUBLIC COMMENTS ON REGULAR AND CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS – Hearing no comments Commissioner Jones continued the Board Meeting.

          METRAPARK – A.)  Event Calendar.  Mr. Bill Dutcher, General Manager went through three months of calendar events.  B.)  Ticket Sales.  Mr. Ray Massie, Marketing Director stated that there are still tickets available for PBR.  The Toby Keith concert is May 22nd and 7,000 tickets have been sold.    C.)  MontanaFair.  Mr. Ray Massie, Marketing Director stated that MontanaFair tickets went on sale April 30th.  The night show acts are Cody Johnson, The Eli Young Band and Keisha.  D.)  Master Plan.  Mr. Tim Goodridge, Assistant General Manager stated the Master Plan has been well received by the public.  

          PUBLIC COMMENTS ON METRAPARK/FAIR BOARD BUSINESS – Hearing no comments Commissioner Jones continued the Board Meeting. 

          COUNTY ATTORNEY – A.)  Resolution 21-29 Mandating the Annual Formation of the County Compensation Board and Providing a Mechanism for Making Appointments and Noticing Public Hearing.  Commissioner Ostlund made a MOTION to approve Resolution 21-29, Commissioner Jones seconded.  Passed Unanimous.  B.)  Resolution 21-30 of Intent for the Purpose of Convening a County Compensation Board to Hold Two Public Hearings to Recommend Elected Officials’ Compensation for FY2022 to the Yellowstone County Board of Commissioners – Public Hearing are Set for Tuesday June 1, 2021 and Tuesday June 15, 2021 @ 10:00 a.m. in Room 3108 of the Stillwater Building.  Commissioner Ostlund made a MOTION to approve Resolution 21-30, Commissioner Jones seconded.  Passed Unanimous.

          CLAIMS – Batches 21-200, 21-201, 21-202 and 21-203.  Commissioner Osltund made a MOTION to approve the Claims, Commissioner Jones seconded.  Passed Unanimous.

          FILE ITEMS1.  CLERK OF DISTRICT COURT – Checks and Disbursements for April 2021.  Commissioner Ostlund made a MOTION to approve the Consent Agenda and place the File Items to file, Commissioner Jones seconded.  Passed Unanimous. 

          PUBLIC COMMENTS ON COUNTY BUSINESS – Hearing no comments Commissioner Jones adjourned the meeting at 9:43 a.m.
