REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

Tuesday January 19, 2021

         

          ALL PRESENT:  Commissioner Jones, Chair; Commissioner Pitman; Board Clerk Bev Wiley; Clerk and Recorder Jeff Martin.  Commissioner Ostlund was absent.

          PLEDGE.

          9:30 a.m. PRESENTATION – Verploegen Subdivision – Preliminary Minor Plat.  Mr. Dave Green, Planner stated the proposed subdivision creates 4 lots for residential development.  The subject property is generally located on the northeast corner of the intersection of Grand Avenue and 70th Street West.  The property is outside of zoning.  The land currently has one home, with come out buildings, directly on the northeast corner of the intersection of Grand Avenue and 70th Street West, the remaining land is vacant vegetated land.  Mr. Green went through the conditions.  Commissioner Pitman made a MOTION to conditionally approve the Preliminary Minor Plat of Verploegen Subdivision with the SIA and the Findings of Fact, Commissioner Jones seconded.  Passed Unanimous. 

          PUBLIC COMMENTS ON REGULAR AGENDA ITEMS – Hearing no comments Commissioner Jones continued the Board Meeting. 

            COMMISSIONERS – Yellowstone County School Choice Week Proclamation.  Commissioner Jones read the Proclamation into the record.  Commissioner Pitman made a MOTION to approve the Yellowstone County School Choice Week Proclamation, Commissioner Jones seconded.  Passed Unanimous. 

          FINANCE – Public Hearing Notice for Mid-Year Budget Review – Public Hearings are Scheduled for Thursday February 4, 2021 and Tuesday February 9, 2021 @ 9:30 a.m. in Room 3108 of the Stillwater Building.  Commissioner Jones made a MOTION to approve the Public Hearing Notice, Commissioner Pitman seconded.  Passed Unanimous. 

          PUBLIC COMMENTS ON CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS – Hearing no comments Commissioner Jones continued the Board Meeting.

          CLAIMS – Batches 21-133, 21-134, 21-135 & 21-136.  Commissioner Pitman made a MOTION to approve the Claims, Commissioner Jones seconded.  Passed Unanimous. 

          CONSENT AGENDA - 1.  CLERK AND RECORDER – Eco Built Townhomes – Subdivision Improvements Agreement.  2.  FINANCE – A.)  New MBCC Grant for Justice Court.  B.)  Public Works – Weed District Request to Expend, Utility Terrain Vehicle.  C.)  MetraPark Invitation for Bids for Barn Hazardous Materials Abatement.  D.)  CARES Reimbursements – LGE Certification Form and Submission Tracking for March 1 – December 30, 2020.           PUBLIC COMMENTS ON COUNTY BUSINESS – Beth and Dale Cook presented a Horse Racing Master Plan.  Hearing no other comments Commissioner Jones adjourned the meeting at 9:45 a.m.
